Chairman, Edmund Ferrara
Ed is a local Business Executive. He has served on the Lifeworks Board of Directors since 1991. Ed has been involved with Lifeworks for over 25 years, serving on its Board as well as coaching various Special Olympics sports teams for our affiliated agency, The Arc of South Norfolk.
He is involved in many other local charities and organizations. Ed has been an excellent political advocate for Lifeworks and the field of Human Services for many years.
Vice-Chairman, Thomas Erhard
Tom has been a member of the Lifeworks Board of Directors since 2007. He is a retired educator, who was a teacher in the Dedham Public Schools for more than 40 years. Tom has an adult son who receives employment supports from Lifeworks and family supports from our affiliated agency, The Arc of South Norfolk.
Tom served two terms on the Town of Foxboro School Committee. He currently serves on the State of Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services Family Support Council and the Adult Services Subcommittee for the Autism Commission.
Treasurer, Cheryl Gorman
Cheryl has been a member of the Lifeworks Board of Directors since 2002. She was a senior executive at Brookline Bancorp and Harvard University Employees Credit Union, as well as co-founder of Compass Consulting, a firm providing strategy and marketing services to financial service organizations throughout the Northeast.
Cheryl raised her two children in Westwood and currently lives in Dedham. An avid biker and fundraiser, she and her husband, Doug, have ridden in the Rodman Ride in support of the Family Autism Center and Arc. Cheryl has served as a member of the Lifeworks Golf Tournament Committee. She is currently a member of the Lifeworks/Arc Advisory (Investment) and Compensation Committees.
Clerk, Sheila Coakley
Sheila has been a member of the Lifeworks Board of Directors since Lifeworks inception in 1989. She has served as the Clerk of the Board since 1992.
Sheila is a local attorney who has been an active supporter of Lifeworks and The Arc of South Norfolk for many years.
She has an adult son who receives supports from the Lifeworks Residential Services programs.
Paul became a member of the Lifeworks Board of Directors in 2016. Paul is a healthcare executive and currently works as the Chief Financial Officer at PhysicianOne Urgent Care.
Paul has an adult brother who receives supports from Lifeworks Employment Services. Paul lives in Walpole, and has been active in several community groups in addition to supporting Special Olympics of Massachusetts.
Kevin has been a member of the Lifeworks Board of Directors since 2006. He is a local business executive who is currently the Senior Loan Officer for Bridgewater Savings Bank in their Wrentham office.
Kevin has been a volunteer with The Arc of South Norfolk in their sports program for over 25 years, serving as a coach and chaperone for Special Olympics sports events. He has also done significant fund-raising for The Arc of South Norfolk and Special Olympics of Massachusetts.
Paul became a member of the Lifeworks Board of Directors in 2012. He lives and works in Dedham and is the owner of Colonial Binding & Printing Co. In addition to coaching for The Arc of South Norfolk, Paul coaches and volunteers for other local organizations, which support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Paul has an adult daughter who receives supports from Lifeworks Employment Services, Norwood.
Heidi joined the Lifeworks Board of Directors in 2016. Heidi is a resident of Norwood and has been involved with Lifeworks and our affiliated agency The Arc of South Norfolk since 1979.
Heidi is employed by Papa Gino’s in Norwood. She is a member of the Lifeworks Leadership Committee. Heidi is an excellent advocate for the people that Lifeworks supports. In her role as a board member and advocate, Heidi attended The Arc of the United States National Convention in October, 2016.
